Heheh - fisher - you've been reading the recruiting trash again at the truck stops!! And I swear Pharm is happy and well at home (looks nervously out the shades for a lynch mob).:biggrin_25524:

We've both been busy this week, and clocked about 4500 miles in 5 days as near as I can call it. In short terms it looked like GA to NM, NM to TX to NM, NM to TN, AR to NY, PA to NC. I even passed a Level 2 inspection while Pharm was sleeping in the back, and had to buy an NM permit for a whopping $2.80. :biggrin_25523:

Other than an older married couple who didn't listen to friendly advice, and took 4 hours to unload a hopper of chicken meal in front of us - the week went flying past like flipping a switch. Apparently the couple were new at it, and decided to open the hopper door about 4 inches, and then proceed to stomp on it from the top (while telling 4 helpful bystanders "it's stuck"). You can't push a solid through a funnel from the top, folks! Once they opened the door all the way on the next hopper, it took about 40 minutes for that one to empty out and they were on their way.

From what it sounds, we'll have some long awaited changes next week, but I'll hold those details to see if it works forward. Tiny the Volvo has logged 22k miles so far, with a fuel pump, a few fuel filters, a lube and oil, and a pair of wiper blades in the minus column. During the lube, the tech showed me an air leak on one of the front air bags, and it turns out they're on the rotted/ cracked side of the fence - another casualty from sitting dormant for months. I also talked to the dealer about the prior damage I found on the roof, and he said their body shop would take a look at the paint splitting, but no luck in cleaning up the previous repair.

Overall, it's been rough at times for both of us (like 2 monkeys sharing the same cage), but Pharm's a good guy and I feel we've dealt with it all as well as can be expected. The trucks come through again and again, as well as the broker involved, and the customers have really broken the mold at times to get us through (staying late, putting us up on their lots, and one scalemaster decided I was due for a new hardhat!). :biggrin_255:

This next week or 2 should finish things up, and I'd hope it's a good run for all of us out there! Best to you and stay safe!

I guess it was bound to happen eventually, as happens with all threads - they eventually run their course.

Without Rob's sometimes entertaining and usually informative posts, this thread is quickly dying.

I hope all is well for you Rob, and we're still pulling for your success!!
