They are illigal in anything in VA.
They are illigal for use in all states for trucks, to the best of my knowelege.

just checked it is in the federal regs.
Sorry, I would not want to get cought with one.

I bought a 1000 watt inverter on ebay and it runs my laptop, dorm room refrigerator, tv, xbox, microwave. I also have sirius sat radio, and have one of my ham radio's in the truck. You have to pay for all the stuff yourself. I do most of my own cooking in the truck, which really saves alot of money, one trip to walmart and I hae enough stuff for two to three weeks. I also have a twelve volt george forman grill which you can't find at ANY truckstops I had to order it online. I cook steak, hot dogs, brats, mets, pork chops, chicken breast and anything else I can grill.

In fact I am enjoying a couple hot dogs I grilled a few minutes ago, and some saurkraut and chilli I micro'd.

1bad and bigrig: Thanks for the info. It seems like some of the companies out there are incahoots with the truck stops to force drivers to eat their tasty food, or they're just plain CHEAP. Maybe number two. I was hoping to at least have a fridge/micro. Hope to meet you folks in the future. "Travel light and run fast, the little brown guys are right behind us." Peace, Scott

I do not know of any company that includes a fridge or microwave in a truck, and many will not allow you to use an inverter, due to the fire hazard.
It has nothing to do with them being cheap, though not having APUs on trucks is being cheap lol.
As dirty as many drivers I have seen are, I would not supply them a way to have mold and fungus growing inside there trucks if they do not keep them clean.

Does Central have any dedicated routes that stay in the south, or midwest to the east coast? Went through that mess in Wyoming, not fun at all. Left the Petro the morning before the closed 80e. Wouldn't mind staying around Texas and the south if possible.

They have the catfish run, that is out of Mississippi. I do not think that they go to far West.
I was on Kraft Dedicated. Did not go much past the big river on that. I was mostly Northeast to Midwest on that. Though I would go to Atlanta at times. I am not sure if TX is in the area though, but it may be inside the Southern runs.
Kraft is nice with it's good milage rate and while I was there consistant miles.
Once on Kraft I never went west of Denver.
They use to have Local Kraft drivers in Dallas, not sure if they do anymore though. I have been out of Central for over year and a half now.

    Oscar Thanks this.
