Eaton Autoshift Gen 3 Programming Question

I have a 2018 t880 with a 510 paccar that overshifts badly. What program and shift rpm do you recommend for grain hauling.

 

When you say overshifts, do you mean it skips gears when loaded when you dont want it to? Or is it hunting, shifting too often, when you dont want to too.

Do you know it's current configuration for shifting?

 

Yes it shifts up when you don’t want it to. Find myself dropping a gear or two with the little switch on the cobra handle. It lugs motor down too much.

 

We bought it new not sure what current configuration is.

 

Try a heavy haul setting if available. Vocational shift response set to moderate or fast.

My guess is it's set up for line haul and smooth and will shift for fuel mileage to keep engine rpm low. Ask your selling dealer to get their Eaton rep involved to set it up for the application. Takes minutes to change.

 

Thanks. I am taking it in city for some updates and wanted to see what was available for change in shift rpm. I’m sure sales should have a good idea of what works. The service manager said it may be in ecomode. Very happy with truck otherwise just it wants to get up in 18 gear too quick.
