WRONG! There are tons of factory 500+ horsepower motors out there and they are perfectly legal. I have a 525 in mine from the factory and was considering getting a new truck with a 600 but my truck is still like new and who needs a payment?
I don't know where you heard that but it is not true! -
what model of cummins engine are you looking to dial up

Check the date on the original post.. Im certian the OP has worked it out by now.

Its still a valid question, not too many people doing it me thinks. Also, I recall Pittsburh Power having problems developing ISX version of The Box, took them quite longer than for other engines.
They were saying ECM is too advanced/complicated and at some point even were asking O/Os to come and let get installed some recording devices on the engine and run it like that for some time so they can later download logged data and figure it out. -

ISM-350 how hight can it be dialed in to?
how difficult? -
Depends on what CPL. The highest onroad ISM rating was straight 425 1450 IIRC in a vocational rating, all the other were multi-torque ratings. RV/Firetruck could go to 500 but there are factory marine programs to around 850HP depending on what year M11/ISM.

How about '06 ISX565 ?
From what I know, there was no higher rating back then...?
