Maybe someone can chime in and help me understand here. I’m located in ma. I’m looking at getting a triaxle dump truck that this season will not leave ma. I was talking to an insurance agent today and said I need to do ifta and irp. Even though I’m staying in my home state? Or am I misunderstanding what he is saying?
Apportionated plates and an intrastate truck.

IDK about MA. But you should be able to get intrastate truck plates from DMV. You do not need ifta or irp. You will need dot and local regulations numbers. He is wrong.
Ohio I did this for some years.
