It has 40-45lbs at the fitting at the filter. It does drop of rather quick when it’s shutoff but comes right back up as soon as you start cranking. I put plungers and barrels in the injection pump and that made it run better at really low rpm but still doesn’t start hot. Ran the overhead thinking maybe the valves were tight and when hot, everything swelled just enough to hold them open but no such luck. Even tried putting a nurse tank up on the cowl and drew the fuel straight from it to eliminate the pick up tube in the tank. Really starting to run out of ideas.

Pull that peanut cover off the front of the pump when it won’t start. Leave the key on after trying and reach in there and move the rack bar back by hand. If it starts after that your rack bar is sticking.

Pushed the rack bar back, it moved 1/2-3/4” and it started. It moved very easily. Now that I think back this started not long after I switched engine oil. Always ran rotella 15/40. Got a “deal” on a bunch of Sinclair 5/40 synthetic. Don’t know if that really effected anything or not. Thank you very much to wore out for pointing me in the right direction.

    Plus 1 for wore out!
Ran into stuck racks on Bosch pumps with manual pull shut downs twice. Took the side cover off and sprayed the rack with brake cleaner. Worked and sprayed repeatedly. Then did the same with slicky stuff.
The first had been parked for years with the shut down pulled. We inframed it and could get no fuel. It is still running regular today.
Second is off road equipment and it had been parked a long time. It did a couple jobs are is parked again.
Just sharing what worked for us. Not so sure about that Cat pump.
