Are you going to be around Thursday? I'm sure there will be more than enough to feed you for the night. I am smoking a 18lb turkey just to have here at our house for the next week or so. If you can imgaine it they will have it at my aunts house. I'm making another cheesecake too and debateing a eclair pie. All the usual southern goodies you know squash casserole, broccili rice casserole, mac salad, fried okra, mac and cheese, yams, green beans, fresh cream corn, you name we make it. When your feeding close to 100 people you can't have to much food.

Am getting seriousely fed up with ATT and their lack of 3G network. Heck, I'm on a major interstate, less than 40 miles from Atlanta and this is dang near dialup!!!!

Widow, all depends upon the company. If I am here, I would be more than honored to break bread with ya'll and to spend some time with a substitute family. Mine is going to Tulsa to spend it with her folks which is why I'm out here now.

hey i have a few questions for you all.

is there a lag time between the training at the school and the paid training on the road?

is there enough business right now to go into trucking and make a decent living? not looking for too much id be fine with 20-25k a year. just need to know what the climate is like before signing up for this and quitting my day job.

i know i will like the travling and i have no need for home time since i really dont have a home, im more of a nomad so that wont be an issue for me.

i just dont know if this is a good time to get into trucking or if i should hold off

    thanks in advance

Sprint is fast in most areas. I am in OH, so it is god speed in all areas.
    Full speed ahead.
Now my wife decided to come pick me up lol. She says she can come and get me and be back home at around the time the driver that was going to take me would be ready to leave Columbus.
So I guess I will not be taking the offered ride that my dispatcher went to so much trouble to set up.
I will take his offer of a ride when I get back though. I do not want to leave my explorer at a truck stop in Erie for the week. So I will have a driver meet me at the Kwik fill on 86 in Jamestown. It will only be a little out of route for them anyway.
I guess nobody is at Washington court house tonight. Oh well, I guess I will sleep soon so I can deliver an hour early.
Kind of nice that they do that though, and that the company helps set it up. We do not have to take busses after we are employees.

If you have a job keep it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So many truckers so few loads! We only got into this after being unemployed for over 8 mths. If you have a steady income you can depend on you better keep it. Just my 2 cents.

well the main reason im considering this at this point is i make 14k a year gross where im at and i hear truck driving starts out a bit more than that and it would be more of an adventure than changing tires and oil all day
