I run paperless with an EOBR and according to my logs department, hitting a dock is line 4, not line 3. Also, our system logs a 15 minutes on line 4....ending when I actually send the message giving the name of the person who signed the bill of lading. I can also usually move the truck around a yard without it picking it up. So......... :)

But really if you bump the dock in the middle of your 10 hour break, dont log it all until after your 10 hour break is over...All you did is screw yourself out of sleep. Be careful.

I can't advise on splitting the sleeper. I 100% totally do not understand it at all. I never ever did it when i ran paper logs. I call the logs department and let them compute it for me every time. :)

Thank God I haul cars. No appointment times, no waiting to get unloaded.

Arrived at 8pm, goto sleeper, if your unload time is 3am I would hazard to think it will be at least 4am till you get your paperwork signed off and time stamped.

Line 3 arrive at Consignee # 8pm goto line 2,# 4am goto line 4 show customer unload pickup paperwork@ 4:15am go back to line 2 till 6:15am. This without question gives you 10 hours sleeper, while there are other ways to log this, this will not raise the eyebrows of anyone.

I use this for loading on a regular basis and have for several years.
