So you said every time company owner name changes the company gets new numbers?

 

Bad information if I buy a trucking only thing changing is ownership. Big companies buy subsidiaries all the time. Those numbers remain the samene.

 

Too many owners do not use a corporation to put an authority under and the reason why the FMCSA requires new numbers is because the change of ownership has to be registered without a corporation.

 

Hence it is better to buy an MC number linked to an LLC
