The refers actually lull me to sleep, especially my own. What really gets my goat is a truck that is releasing compressed air every 90 seconds.

We had a driver on our fleet that thought it would be funny to prank another driver that likes to stay inside the truck stop until like 1 or 2AM.
So he tied some string to his airhorn cord then rolled up his window so it grabbed the end of it. Drivers goes to his truck and opens the door.... big loud air horn honk in the middle of the night.
Guy was pissed... so was the guy parked next to him.D.Tibbitt, Speed_Drums, bzinger and 3 others Thank this. -
I was in a corner spot, only him on the right, I got up and seen the truck.
When I left out that morning, around 0230, I started mine, got out, slammed the passenger door and side box a few times and went to throwing a fit, cussing the world and it’s problems.
Maybe he’ll take the hint.slow.rider, Speed_Drums, alds and 1 other person Thank this. -

Reefers in general never really bothered me. However, when the belt is loose and it starts slapping against metal THAT is NOT Acceptable and the driver should get this fixed ASAP. In my last few years active, I drove for a reefer company. Our trailers for the most part were pure 100% junk! I learned over time before tieing myself to that trailer via QC to run it while I did my pre-trip. Outside sounds can be white noised out in some cases if a driver will run their APU and have the inside air on.

Over time I’ve had less and less problems with loud noises at truck stops.
Reefers check. Air dryer going off check. Regen check. Music check. No problem, I’m getting some sleep. What bothers me now is the country quite when I try to sleep at home. -
Canadianhauler21 and superdutyfan Thank this.
