I will be in Tampa at 10am.
Though it is not looking like the weather will be on my side, it will be better than home.
My terminal manager and dispatcher are fighting with Iowa I guess. The head people at the company want to think I quit, since they do not allow leave of absence for 90 days. My dispatcher said it will not be a problem though, they are trying to track down my recruter though so he can verify that my vacation was known about before I was hired. I have no idea what his name was.
Oh well, I will deal with it when I get home.
My dispatcher said he just has to get me back in a truck as quick as he can.
So I am guessing I will be with a driver headed to Columbus fairly early Tuesday morning, and on a load by the afternoon.

never order the who-flung-dung or the chop-poohy at your local chinese restaurant[/QUOTE]

Reminds me of an oriental restaurant I heard about some years ago. The chef there was a fellow named Sling Sh-t Hi, a lounge singer named Lei Mie Low, and the usual soup of the day was the cream of Sum Yun Guy.

(........Apolagies to any that may take offense.)

Good luck with the CDL and Roadmaster. I just completed my class A 3 or 4 weeks ago and used the same DOT physical I got at Central in July.
As far as I know, the physical is only relative to the state DMV that issues your CDL and shouldn't matter to the school.
Something to bear in mind when looking for a job: not all schools are approved by all companies, eventhough its the state DOT that issued the license and not the school. A 160 hr program seems to be the minimum standard too. And the school attended should be located in the hiring area of the co. being applied to. Just a few of the snags I've been running into lately.

    The Challenger Thanks this.

OK heres the deal central is a CDL mill they push you out as fast as they can so no other company will hire you with out experance and they get goverment money to train you and you do get experance from them. (no affence 2 centeral drivers or the company) on the other hand you are a new CDL holder most companys want atleast 1-2 years experance for insurance reasons most schools have a job placement program and while you where in school you should of had some recurters show up. all companys play some kind of a game its just the matter of what game you wanna play i had to play there games till i got some experance driving there are alot of companys out there ya just half to search and with the states the way it is rite now its a companys market so most companys that used to hire from schools are now running there own.

OK... It seems Central thinks I need to spend Thanksgiving on the road. I have a delivery near WVC on Friday and will be getting into WVC on Thanksgiving day. Would you go hang out at the WVC terminal or stay at a truck stop on Thanksgiving.

I'm not familiar with the truck stops near WVC. If you would go to one, which one do you think would have the better Thanksgiving meal?
