What kind of MPG’s are y’all getting out of your truck while loaded? I’m getting about 6.5-7 mpg running 65mph with about 30k pounds behind me in my ‘13 ProStar. Is that good?
What’s your MPG’s while loaded?

But what specs do you have ? Is it a direct drive? Or OD what rear end? It all could be calculated if you stated what rpm running at what speed. You could have the same truck getting much worse mpg just due to bad gearing. Or way better due to where its specked and running

I have to chuckle, in 50 years, EVERYTHING about trucks has changed, except fuel mileage. We were getting 6 and 7 mpg 50 years ago. I wouldn't complain about 7 loaded, seems right.

My mpg hovers around 7.00 if i keep it 65. Saw as high as 7.8 if i run 70 then it's down to about 6.2-6.3
I cruise around 1550-1650 that's what mack recommends. I run double over .62 but that's pretty much flat/empty gear. Brings it down to 1400 at 65. I get better mpg at 1600 loaded because i can stay out of the boost more.tommymonza Thanks this. -

10 speed Eaton sucks for fuel economy. I get around 8.6 mpg in a T680 with a 12 speed Eaton and 7.2 with the 10 speed. Both set at 62 MPH.
