I can't imagine driving a semi truck with bad tires?? I know that most companies are going to probably try to wait for them to blow off the trucks/trailers to replace but I'm not risking my life or CDL for someone cause they want to save some money!! People underestimate the importance of that rubber WAY too much!!
What will I need to hit the road?

Depends on how you apply them. Having the basics can help prevent paying a lot more later trying to aquire them at a truckstop or hopeing a walmart that allows a truck has them. However i do admit its really easy to over spend on junk you dont need.MidwestResident Thanks this.

No, but a few extra doohickies can help keep you on the road instead of racking up zero miles in a shop.MrsWJAA, MidwestResident, Arctic_fox and 1 other person Thank this.

whatever you carry, just remember, you need to take it from the truck to the motel room if you switch trucks, and also get it on the airplane when you quit and fly home. I always liked to travel "light". 1 small travel bag, sleeping bag/pillow, some basic tools (screwdriver, 1/2 in/9/16 in wrench, vice grips ( to fix minor things like loose mirror) gloves and flash light. And that roll of duct tape too. Also 2 pens in your pocket at all times and a folded paper towel to wipe with.......because you will have to take a dump sooner or later and there will be no T.P..
