There theory says, that there should always be enough distance to allow your vehicle to stop before a vehicle that's followed. This would not be any different, if you need to stop due to an emergency road closure or simply traffic congestion. In other words, there is no excuse to hit a vehicle you follow...

Hopefully u got out and beat the #### out of that guy... and showed him how to properly load his trailer.... That is whats called tail wagging the dog. To much weight on the back.... See it all the time with inexperienced people pulling trailers whom dont understand weight distribution or physics.

@D.Tibbitt just because you can’t see the tractor doesn’t mean you’re looking at the back of a trailer. Things are different in the van world. I’ve got a hybrid trailer this trip skateboard with 6 tanks bolted to the deck. Pictures tomorrow.
