Glad you finally got the picture now the teasing will end for a couple weeks anyway. So glad you have a good sense of humor and take everything in stride. Love to know people like that. 1bad is working on the truck again should be home in a little while. I have been shopping today and visiting with my sister from SC been a very low key but enjoyable day. Hope everyone out there stays safe and makes it home for the next holiday! -
Sitting outside the shipper at Haltom TX waiting for JJ's 10hr break to finish, so he can get to the stupid wal-mart DC in Ochelata OK by 0445 on the 28Th, we thought it was a pre-loaded trailer which would have been great because we could have been almost there by now, buttttttt nope it was a live load. Wasted time this morning going to our sigma/us cold storage in Arlington TX and waiting on JJ's FM and customer service to let us know when the app time was
only to go inside and find out they were closed today, we then had to take the load to Irving TX and the local guy will deliver it on Monday.
I swear if we have one more screw up from JJ's FM and customer service this week they will get a visit from me and then I am sure they would fire him.
Seems like all the drivers have to do there job 100% but the FMs and customer service have an excuseThey should get a service failure when they screw up and three strikes and there gone.
OK that's my rant for today.
1Bad, We had our Turkey Dinner at the Petro, it wasn't great but then again it wasn't awful.
JJ has Drill again early January so we are seriously considering running over Xmas so the pay won't kill us to bad
JDTTrucker how was your thanksgiving and where are ya hiding right now lol
Panhandle Thanks for the directions help -
Passed everything today with no strikes! Woohoo!
Any of you good trainers, who want a good student Wednesday, let me know. -
Hi guys/gals, I've been looking at centrals website to find out info on on benefits for company drivers. Hopefully i am posting this series of questions in the proper thread (i figured this would be the best place, and if it isnt, please forgive me.) I see the pay scale for team and solo drivers, but as far as the benefits are concerned, I was wondering if any of you could shed some light on the subject as far as: Any idea how much medical and dental are for single people? Vacation time, how much time do you get after how much time you have worked, how do they figure pay for vacation time?
I know the next questions might be hard to answer, considering how many trucks they may have. What about amenities on company trucks (ya know, the little things that can make a truckers life on the road easier/more enjoyable.) as far as bunk heaters/ac, APU/inverters/generators (if they don't have any of these are you allowed to install an inverter yourself?), Do you have refrigerators in your sleepers?
I must admit i am a completeto the truck driving industry, and that i have no idea what the trends are with a lot of companies as far as the amenities are concerned. From what i have read on these forums, most recruiters from just about any company are, shall we say...... less than truthful about things from time to time.
Sorry about the big wall-o-text. I know it seems like a short novel and all.
