LOL!!!! I'm hardly a supertrucker... Its funny how people make assumptions like this based on what they read in a message forum. Oh I get it alright....Im dealin with a bunch of whiners.....

Yeah, Im a clown but its ok for people to shine spotlights at and high-beam people for using road lights. Uh-huh, Im the clown all right......NOT!!

Good, cuzI was beginning to wonder. Anyways, back at the conversation at hand, you believe having an issue of light sensitivity regardless of how mild it may be doesnt make you even a little unsafe?....Hmmmm, ok. For everybody's sake, I hope you are correct.
Where does it say they are illegal? Only thing Ive ever seen on it is that if they are of legal wattage and factory setup, they are fine. Plus, have ya ever noticed how most of them only work with the low-beams and sometimes, depending on the application, the park-lights? Manufacturers have all ready thought about some of this to make them legal. And once again....(more like 50 gazillion times already), they are not fog lights. maybe thats where y'all are getting confused. Oh, and I know what inclement weather is.....it dont take a brain surgeon to figure it out.
Its alright, bro....water under the bridge if I "rubbed you the wrong way". My apologies. Just trying to comprehend your post the best I could.

You know, Ive heard of this happening.... There really are people out there that find this act of cruelty and plain stupidity amusing??

What exactly is a "cb rambo" anyway? Ive heard that term before but I guess because of my "newbie-ness" I dont know...

Yeah, like Ive incenuated that I know everything. If anything, you ought to be branded with the know-it-all stamp.

Put your landing gear down to slide your fifth wheel Semi trucks were not meant to Pop wheelies. And don't do it on the Scale.

Check your tire pressure frequently - set it to the cold rated pressure before you start driving. Low tire pressure contributes to bad fuel economy, excessive tire wear and leads to blowouts. Going from warm (say So Cal) to cold (Salt Lake City) will drop your tire pressure quite a bit.

Im glad you brought this up.... Is it better to run the steers at 100 or 110? I always thought it was better to run the steers at 110 since they stand alone and the rest at 100.

I run 110 on the steers and 100 on the drives . The steers are a single tire that carries wieght up to 12,000 lbs so 110 lbs is the right choice .

Just yesterday I do a pre trip and drive 75 miles to Utility trailer . I bump the tires before I leave and drive 75 miles to Utility trailer. Before I leave I bump tires , 1 flat , find a nail in the r/r trailer tire . Well $37.00 later I am down the road and saved myself from possibly buying 2 trailer tires , road service , mudflap , chrome wieghts , and maybe a new angle iron bracket for themud flap . It can get all bent up when you blow a rear tire .

Oh a down time could have been a big cost factor also but I was empty this time .

Bump before and during the run , and check air preasures every week .

Hope this helps you all out . :biggrin_25519:

Makes me wonder why the company I drive for doesnt want the steers at 110.

Oh, Im sure its some dumb reason that only makes sense to them. Just like how They steered away from 13spds, started lockin 5th-wheels all the way up, and not lettin our motors rev higher than 1700rpm....

Let's see as a O/O'S wife that is a great listener I'd say the 10 spd.'s and 8spds. replaced 13 speeds because they are more "new" driver friendly and breakdown failure is much less .

5th wheels locked forward for fuel mileage (close the air gap to trailer ) but gotta hope you will not need to slide that 5th wheel .

Keeping RPMS below 1700 is all about fuel savings .

It all comes down to the bottom line = Profit .

I know alot of things are a pain at times but it makes fleets money and that is why they are in business .

    I know , I know .........:biggrin_2559:
