No cdl, no driving experiance and no mechanical skills? On top of that you want to buy a truck.. My friend that sounds like a terrible idea. Ive been driving for years and still dont know enough to go out on my own.
Numb Thanks this. -
i will have my truck run with my boss's fleet, and under his authority, while i will be sitting there dispatching for him..
nredfor88 and slow.rider Thank this. -
I know of other dispatchers who have built fleets. It can be done. As far as finding decent dealers and shops, you'll develop your own favorites over time thru experience, but one of the best places I've found for stacking favorable odds is Google reviews. Although I also have some preferred shops with mediocre reviews. Go there for small easy stuff first due to convenience of location, start to get a feel for their capabilities and limits, that sort of thing.
In my opinion the biggest profit-killers are the smallest jobs. Lightbulbs, wiper blades, mudflaps, fluids, etc. are things you want to be able to get handled without a shop, one way or another. -
If you think you have access to Great Freight and you can dispatch your own truck with the best freight go buy a brand new truck.
Just call dealers and compare prices and go from there.
Hell you could even hire a team and have the truck run 24/7. In a couple of years buy another brand new truck.slow.rider Thanks this. -
