Greetings everyone,
This is my first post here. I have been poking around here for information on things. What company I might be suited for and all that and I am going to head on over to a driving school on Monday to talk to them.
Anyways, this past Sept I got a ticket. I cant remember what it was, but it was "failure to obey..." something or other. Its under PA Dpt. Of Trans. 1113-a if that helps anybody. I was going to fast. Now I threw an app to Werner on Thurs. and they turned me down because I could not remember how fast I was going. This violation does not go to insurance and there are not points associated with it. Its more like a warning with a fine attached to it and its my only violation in the last 7 years. Now I have not put any other apps in for the whole pre hire thing. Should I order a DMV record before I throw any more apps out? Talk to the school first. I just dont know where to go from here. Any suggestions?
Does 1 ticket blow it for me

It's looks like a DAC report would be helpful for you to bring with you . Most companies "do" run a complete background check on a driver before hiring but by having any and all information with you will only make you look that much better when you apply for a job .
Good Luck to you , -
The problem here is that the charge of driving too fast shows disregard for the rules. The insurance companies dictate the hiring and this looks bad.
I would strongly suggest looking at the MVR to really see the charge. Speed over 15 mph above the posted limit is classified as reckless driving.OOWife_Kay and cynod Thank this. -
OOP'S .. I meant MVR . Sorry about that . You are correct .
cynod Thanks this. -
I'm confused here....
It's showing on your driving record ??? But, doesn't affect your insurance ???
Aside from that, you'll need to get that information for Werner and anyone else who ask.
Easiest way, get a copy of your MVR. Then report ONLY what is showing on that report to potential employers.
You need to keep things clarified, for yourself and anyone else who ask. It is important and there will be a test. As you've seen.cynod and kickin chicken Thank this. -

Well I am heading for the school on Monday. I guess I will run down the situation with the admissions guy and see what he says. I know they run a record check before you even look at taking classes there. I am not sure that it has any more info then what I have. I guess I will see. -
