COMPENSATION & PROVISIONS
TBT provides rental trucks, fuel, hotel accommodations, a company tablet, and a daily pay rate. Our daily pay rate varies by experience and region, but most of our drivers make $200+ per day as well as a standard per diem rate (reimbursed following the trip). Drivers are employees of TBT and are not independent contractors.
TriBike Transport (TBT), a small, yet highly specialized logistics company, is seeking qualified drivers to pick up and transport bicycles to triathlons and other cycling events throughout the US and North America.

TBT Drivers are not required to have a CDL, but must comply with all USDOT regulations. TBT Drivers must demonstrate an ability to safely drive a truck ranging in size from a 15-foot van with a loading ramp, to a 26-foot straight truck with a lift gate. TBT will train all drivers regardless of experience on both DOT regulations and internal policies and procedures.

 

I started with Schneider in 2018 and we did 1 week with the trainer then went solo.

Since Knight owns Swift, do Swift employees get paid by Swift or Knight?

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, all year round.

 

No idea, but I still call the same payroll number if I have questions.
Nothing has really changed on that front as far as I can tell.

Swift is still run as a separate company for the most part.
Knight has made some changes, like with the bonus program, but not much has changed that much for me.

I'm not even sure it was the Knight influence that changed the bonus program.
Maybe it was all Swift people just trying to save some cash.

And I am the wrong person to ask questions about the inner workings.
I just drive my truck and don't really talk to anyone about these things. I have no inside information.

Does TN have CDL classes at the state vo tech schools ?

if so, do that instead of paying $6k for a private class.
In GA the vo tech school class is $1,600
And recruiters will be there.
In the GA class the first two weeks is classroom , second two weeks is backing , if you can back after two weeks , you’re out. next two weeks is shifting and driving.
If you can’t shift after two weeks, you’re out.

if I was a new driver I’d be knocking on YRCs door.
Paid training and hourly pay at union rates ? Instead of a percentage or mileage pay?

Times sure have changed. 20 years ago, you had to have a father or uncle or family member already in the union or you were not getting in.

same with the highway patrol and game warden. If you’re uncle wasn’t a state representative or something, you were not getting hired.
Now they are running ads begging for game wardens and troopers.

 

Why when I checked the companies reviews, I saw that the dispatchers and managers are big sh.t, unrespect, unprofessional.
I am learning how to open my business, drive a truck, and go where I want (it means Nevada to Florida)
I know already, some State the insurance is $24.000 / year and some $4.000 / year!!
Also, the LLC, some you must pay every year, some one time!!

 

Would you want to be in any form of law enforcement in 2021?
Me neither , not for love or money.
