Dont just change tps. change the whole pedal assembly. Yes the assembly cost 1000 bucks through peterbilt. You can buy the whole pedal assemby for 200 on ebay. IT IIS SAME THROTTLE PEDAL PART NUMBER FOR ALL CAT MOTORS on 379. They all work the same and do not need programming. Plug and play.

I retract my original statement. i went back through my orders to find part number. The vendor had 10 brand new in box and i bought 2 of them but alll gone. Must have been stolen. i paid 299 a piece with free shippinjg. Part number for petes with cats is Bendix 065483

Thanks parts lady told me Cat only sells them whole pedal. If was any other motor could just buy sensor.
-
Parts lady is wrong, its not even a CAT supplied part. Williams Controls supplies the original sensor for Paccar. Comes with the 2 mounting screws and a wiring pigtail.
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Have you pulled and checked the fuel bypass valve? I had the same issue, mechanic said it was a throttle position sensor, or bypass valve. Luckily mine was the valve, $35 vs $200 for a sensor. Valve had a piece of the teflon oring broke.
-
I wasn't able to find it.
-
I was wondering what vendor you used to order the sensor
-
I bought it at a Peterbilt dealership.

Ok long shot, but last time I had my truck in the shop mechanic didn’t plug boost sensor in real good. It would make contact then it wouldn’t, would kill my foot pedal.
