No, under MAP21, you are HOS exempt when involved with agricultural loads from the point of origin of the product, during the state declared planting and harvest season, within 150 miles of the point of origin or the distributor.

FWIW, in WA, the planting and harvest season runs from February through December. I guess they don’t milk cows or grow chickens.....

An FYI for those who use Ag exempt status regularly, we are using the “my20” ELD, which uses geofencing to automatically move the driver from the “off duty (ag exempt)” line to the “drive” line once they cross the 150 air mile range (and vice versa). I strongly recommend it, as it saves time and hassle for the driver and reduces mistakes.

So! Maybe a dumb question!? But for those that are ag exempt and running no logs, trip sheets and not even turning on elds until 150 mark, how are they keeping miles for ifta purposes!

    Coffey Thanks this.

    Isn’t that something lol
Louisiana is year round from what I read
Rely on gps for miles (no odometer):/
Haul out of the field with no origin tickets
    Getting the big ifta “A”
Just been reading everything and came across this and just asking questions
I don’t mind learning new things:)

    Coffey Thanks this.
