This is a crazy post. What's so crazy about this is I was heading down the I-54 going east just before Wichita, KS about 2 weeks ago. The fog was crazy and it's only a one lane highway going in both directions. My truck is limited at 62 so I had a line of about 5 trucks behind me. Genius truck driver about three trucks behind me decided even though I can't see 5 feet in front of my truck in the fog, time to pass all four of these trucks cause I'm Mr. Superman. Unfortunately, I have a CB that has a bad microphone so I couldn't tell him in the lane coming from the opposite direction a four wheeler is coming down the road. Luckily he was going fast enough to where I could slam my brakes just in time where he was able to pull in front of me. Dudes, in the fog don't try to pass a big truck! Not worth the extra 5 mph to end up getting stuck behind another big truck or stop light. Funny thing is, he got to a stop light, and I passed him on the right. Take your time, drive the condition, everyone gets home safe. :)

Who cares? The point is if they DO work over 40, they get OT. Where as we truckers, who always work over 40, are NOT subject to labor laws enforcing OT pay.

So you're jealous of grocery bagger that gets $12 an hour when working overtime ? I guess we should have laws for the farmers to get 50% more for the crops they take care of after working 40 hours .

I'm glad someone else seen the light. That site is owned by Lawyers or a Insurance company. I sensed it the moment the webpage opened and did not have to read the whole article.

Are you reading the same posts as I am? Because you're like WAY out there on a tangent...FLAPPING. They get OT for working over 40 hours without even a working braincell. We don't get OT and have to be knowledgeable and competent and have major responsibilities. POINT: we are not in the same pool as a grocery bagger, the big dumb govt labeling us that way notwithstanding.

I have been all over that site since I found it here lol.
Posting retractions, and arguments for posts.
Yes, it is a site run by Lawyers, "safety" groups, etc.
    I do not care.
I am going to post, and post the truth. Even if they do not like it.
So far they have not taken any of my posts out, so I will see how long it goes.

Just posted under another blog in there. Then a lady posted under mine how she was run off the road 2 times on one trip. The first time totaling her car, second time in a rental.
By reading her post I can see she was in the Center lane of a 3 lane. She caught up with a truck, and she tried to pass him on the right. As she started to pass him, he signaled and changed into her lane, running her off the road. She complained that he did this, and left her for dead when she hit the guard rail.
I can visualize the whole thing, I am almost positive the driver never saw her, and she did state she was going 70 with the cruise set.
So She went from behind the truck, probably close to his rear. Changed lanes quickly to pass on the right.
The driver should have looked twice before changing lanes. By not doing so he was in the wrong.
But the lady should have never attempted to pass on the right of the truck.
I am interested to see if she posts again.
If we as drivers do not post on these sites and make the public aware of our side of the issues, they will never see any other point of view.
It is like a person that only watches one news broadcast, so they only see one side of the issues. If nobody tells them anything different, or at least never shows them there is another side to the story, they will never know that one exists.

    None that I'm aware of.

In the 4 years my son bagged groceries, the most he got was 36. The owner chewed the managers ### out for that episode.

Most the baggers are high school, college kids, and retirees.

You can bet your ###, that site is about to have a meltdown, now that the family is involved. They'll have 400 friends, with more friends posting.

    I smell a lawsuit :biggrin_25523:
