Ask yourself who's more likely to post a company report publicly?
(A.) Disgruntled employee who had a very bad experience with the company ("This is a BAD company").
(B.) Employee who believed everything they read or were told about a company, didn't do their research, and discovered later things weren't as they had believed ("They LIED to me!").
(C.) Employee who liked the company, but was "let go" because of circumstances beyond their control ("Neither wreck was my fault!")
(D.) Happy employee with no complaints aqainst the company.
Now, ask yourself, what was the LAST job you were somewhat happy with, and did you look for a place to BRAG about it or tell others?
I don't think a forum is a good place to expect unsolicited "positive" comments about any company. You'll get some, sure, but not nearly as many positive as negative! After reading so much negative, it takes a brave soul to step up HERE and say "Yeah! I'm happy here!" Somebody will be all over them with the "company man", "recruiter", or other unfair comments!
Worst case scenario? Man, they're ALL worst case scenarios! All you can do is plan for the worst, and hope for the best!
Good luck!

storyteller - they've about got it..
Let's see.. how bad could it be?
Company IS out to screw you - so doesn't pay what you are owed, or on time, and charges you for things you shouldn't be charged for.
Customer Service sucks, so gets only the worst loads (say, 44K pounds going from Oakland to Denver)
Your truck is turned down to 55
Company policy is that you have to take I-70 between SLC and Denver
Your Dispatcher keeps sending you "are you there, yet?" and "why are you out of route" (even though you are on the designated route), and sends you to fuel at a stop 500 miles out of route - and won't correct it, and won't add the miles to your pay.
Your truck is older than Moses
Your trainer is a serious sex offender
Your trainer is ALSO a serial murderer
You cannot possibly get the load delivered anywhere near on time. So the company instructs you to fabricate your logs.
The driver pays out of pocket for fuel, and the company reimburses. Maybe.
Air conditioning? what's that?
Should I go on?
Yeah - I know, you've been here long enough to know I'm pulling your leg a bit...but you DID askthestoryteller Thanks this. -

Hi I'm new here and posting this to get some good advice if possible to help me out. I have my CDL and went to a driver training school, but the school wasn't doing something legally so they went out of business.
I had graduated before they went out of business, graduated and was told my CDL and school diploma etc. was good, but every time I applied for jobs I was told the economy was bad and the different truck companies were on a hiring freeze. That was until around the end of 2009. I was keeping in touch as these different companies told me to do and calling, but I heard the same thing until around the end of the year.
Then I was told that it was too late and I needed to take some sort of refresher training course.
I went back to the school (it was now a different truck driver training school,or maybe the same school under a different name) and explained what I had been through. They said I would have to go thru truck driver training school all over again, not just doing the refresher training because it had almost been a year since I had graduated from the previous school.
I had my hopes up that the first time that everything would've went fine but it didn't,BUT what I would like to find out is,are there any GOOD Truck Companies that WILL give me paid training?
I really DON'T want to have to go to a Driver Training school again and sign for another hefty loan to pay for three weeks of basically half-##sed training.
So,if ANYONE here can help me out in giving me Names of Truck Companies that will give me paid training,I appreciate your help in advance, and Thanks for your help in advance!
Hope to hear from fellow Truckers and from those who are trying to get a start in the field like me!
