I take care of everything. Book the loads. Ifta IRP all the other BS. Never been audited on either. Did get DOT in house audited about 12 yrs ago. Passed it, no problems. Just ran 8 wks straight, averaged 2500+ miles a week. The last 2 weeks got a little crazy. Changed a starter, in Alabama and front wheel seal/ bearings and races, in Tennessee, Bought a Jeep in Miami on Saturday. Got home Monday. Wife’s been riding along with Me for 6 yrs now. She drove the Jeep home 1400 miles, and slept for almost 2 days, Lol. I’m still wound up.
Who is 100% on their own here?

It is challenging sometimes when it all falls on you. I shift the gears, and work the pedals all at the same time.

Short haul 150 mi radius log exempt. Live in a prime spot for that in North East pa. Recently our daily avg is about 300-330 miles a day. Loaded both ways usually. M-F usually take the weekend off unless a broker throws us cuckoo bucks.
Whenever we get 3rd truck were gonna hire a full time office person to handle all of that stuff. 2 of us trying to look after 3 + driving + wrenching will just be too much and burn ya outLast edited: Apr 1, 2021

After all these years I have finally bumped a dock with a 53' even hit on the first try.
Just doing a little diversification because I have been through the building boom and bust at least 3 times
