Prior owner said it had Jakes. Have the switches and power to them. Cruise and idle up both work. Engine serial number shows its a Jake brake motor. Please advise. I did try the lift the clutch and brake pedal. Heard the clicking on the clutch switch. I just purchased this truck.
95 FLD 12.7. Jakes in ddl show no data. How and where to activate the Jakes.

Maybe check fuse - breaker and switches.

Throttle pedal stuck at 1% or something silly like that?

pull the valve cover make sure it has jakes on it
BoxCarKidd and AModelCat Thank this. -
The jakes plug in above the starter. Make sure that is plugged in. Follow the two wires from ECM on left side (looking at the computer) up the side of block. If it is plugged in there the next thing is to remove valve cover and see what is there. Test solenoids and check adjustment. If it is old truck and they used the jakes alot they could be worn out. I have seen the pistons freeze up in the jakes due to scoring in the cylinders that the pistons sit in on the jakes.
BoxCarKidd Thanks this.
