I told him that I appreciated the options. He said that when they have the ability to give options, they like to give them. In the past month I’ve not been given options before, but was given “would you be interested in...”

Last weekend I was on a load of shelving that was very late getting loaded but FCC came through and made it beyond right for me. I don’t sweat the extra hour here or delayed hour there issues but when things actually do go sideways, FCC has come through for me... at times without even asking. Yes, they address the issue before being pressed. That fact just blows my mind.
anyway, I think that delay impacted the plan to get me home this weekend as i then felt pieces of the puzzle coming together piece by piece instead of the normal flow... not complaining just saying the planners were responding to the challenges before them.
The week ended with a broker load from Rome, GA to Sumter, SC... the extremely rare situation where we are dealing with a broker/load that was not up to the quality of brokered loads that we normally use/haul... again, not complaining as it got me home earlier than expected after the delay earlier in the week.
so after expecting to have to call home to announce I’ll be home later than expected, I’m sitting at home for Easter Weekend with the wife and furry child...
So it wasn’t the normal week here at FCC but I want to give the company high praise for addressing issues that popped up and a extra pat on the back to the Planners that, well, just made it happen.
Already have my PrePlan for Monday too!!! -
*flatbed*
(at some point I may stop putting flatbed on top. But I feel it’s useful to differentiate)
Took my load of plate steel to Columbus NE this morning, the plant was closed for Good Friday, but the plan to drop the trailer there was fine. Took off my chains and binders, dropped trailer. And bobtailled out.
The option of the few that I was given to choose from was some sub station parts. Going from York NE to West Columbia TX for Monday. Drove down to the KS/OK border for the night. Plan is to get to a truck stop south of Houston tomorrow and get a 34 on Sunday. Also I’ll be close to where I’m delivering. And being that it’s a sub station. I’m going to assume job site delivery. But I could be wrong. I was wrong last time I guessed on that load of rebar.Last edited: Apr 2, 2021
