I have scoured the net for jobs for weeks and weeks and found nothing here in CT. Everyone I speak with says they want 1-5 yrs experience. This includes beer/soda distributors, oil and propane delivery, local p&d, otr companies, construction companies, etc. What other options do I have other than moving? I even got my DAC thinking I may have something on it that I don't know about and it came back 100% clean. I don't know what else to do.

Moving else where. I use to live in CT, MA, and before I started driving it was the same thing. Your going to need to go with one of the starter companies, to get your yr, if you haven't got it already.. With the economy being so bad, and plenty of experience drivers out there. That is the down side of it all.. Do lots of research here on these forums before you decide who your going to go with..

Hey my fellow CT bruddah! Try USA Truck(I'm going with them in a few days), and if your 23 years old or older go for Swift get your 6 months to a year and run. That's what I plan on minimum 6 mts maximum 2 yrs.

    Good luck,
    -Joe

I have talked to all the starter companies other than CRE. None are hiring in CT. I can list everyone I called but that may take up this whole thread.

Is it the beautiful weather that has you wanting to stay in Connecticut or is it paying state income tax? Put your belongings into storage and go to where the jobs are...you are going into a profession which where you are from is much less important than how many years you have behind the wheel.
