Terrible shippers/receivers for reefers

Been a few years but yes I think you are right..haven't been back to that Americold since.

 

Wait at that place is not measured in hours, it's days.

 

I’ve had a bad experience with the Americold in Darien. The one in Belvidere IL, and in the caves in Missouri are quite good though. Ironically I had an unintentional good experience with the Americold in Atlanta. I got there, parked on the road and was assigned a door. Truck wouldn’t start. Company had to call out someone to figure out what’s wrong. Starter died. He did a rolling start to get me moving again. Anyway I ended up dropping trailer in the door Americold assigned me and picked it up the next day after I had the starter replaced.

 

That’s a decent Petro. At least you can reserve a spot. Not like that pilot. I loved my terminal out that way, it was quite. Walmart..

 

I just remembered! Americold did charge me for a late PU.

 

That’s one place I despise

 

Yeah I used to love it when they new you were going to unload your own freight and would hide the pallet jacks.

 

I’ve been to the Darien one twice. Both times in and out super fast. They have their act together there. I think it comes down to the local management.

Another Americold that I’ve had success at is the one in Ontario, OR.

Atlanta, no so much. About the worst.

 

Any convention center in the USA , reminds me of night of the living dead.
A shakedown from load in load out.
