Hi all,
I'm very new to the trucking industry (I working in shipping/receiving for years and got a promotion to logistics recently when the job became available.)
My driver got ticketed for being overweight. We haul animal feed and agricultural commodities and while we have overweight permits that are for 117,000 the previous person who did my job never updated the registration from 80k.
We also received a violation for the 80% rule. Bridge 1-1 (-21.538%) from Bridge 1-7.
Does anyone have experience with this? Are there any chances of talking the violation down since we had everything else done correctly except the registration? What type of points can we expect to see on our DOT#s?
Here are the 3 violations that we have:
292.2W - NYS VTL 401 8C overweight nys registered weight. registered (80000) actual (118300).
154-2.10A - 80%
154-2.4C - weight 47% gross exceeds divisible load permit.
Thank you in advance for your help!
