I need the build sheet (date) for 2WS38522! I'm hoping it was built in 1999!

Call your local cat, give them your engine serial number and they will email you the build sheet or just tell you the build date if thats all you need. Did that with my engine and they emailed me the build sheet and I carry it in the truck.

 

Actually your company is required to do so. And if your a one man show like myself, I carry a copy with me.

 

2ws is a 3406E. The last year was 1999. 6nz is a C15 which is a 2000 model year engine. Contrary to popular opinion, even if a 6nz was built in 1999, they are not eld exempt, like @ZVar pointed out.

 

First 4000 6NZ's were 99 model, I posted the last 99 serial # on here in the past.

 

as far as i know all 2ws are pre 2000

 

I'm curious. This one is Australian. All I've seen, and I'm not a cat guy who knows how to access this particular database, but I'll I've seen from Cat websites is that the C15 was a 2000 my. Is it possible that all the 99 were Australian?

 

It's not Australian, it meets both regs. Line below shows On highway EPA. Here is ECM download when it was overhauled by a MHC KW dealer in KC.
