Has anyone ever gotten their truck back from a PM service in terrible condition? I got a 100k overhead adjustment service done recently in Pittsburgh, and I'm pretty sure they were so busy that they rushed to slap everything back together that they said f-it and didn't do it right. Pictures are below.

    1. The threaded bolt that goes up through the nut...there are a few other spots where the air filter attaches to the valve cover, that looks like they would use a long bolt. I can see no spots that are missing a bolt or nut. This bolt just sticks up, like the clown who put it back together got to the end and didn't have time to take the air filter off and put it back in the right spot, so one that needs the long bolt has a short one, or is empty. Is this normal?

    2. These look like attachment points for what looks like might have been a liner or firewall of some sort, that i realized today is no longer there, complete with caulk seal. I can see a lot more of my 1-box than I used to be able to see. Is there supposed to be a liner attached to this area?

    3. This is an oil leak from the drain plug, that they over torqued and has been leaking since the service. The puddle on the ground is from about 10 minutes of being stopped. The axle is soaked, the undercarriage is soaked, and it's also leaking from up behind the fan and also from behind the engine as well. Anyone ever had their truck given back to them in a condition like this? The service was done the last week of January, and I'm just now being able to get back to Pittsburgh this week to bring it back. No one has touched the truck since 50k miles other than this same Fyda dealship. The first two times were great, now this mess. It did not leak a drop before this, up to 100k miles when i dropped it off for an overhead adjustment and now it's leaking like this.

    Your word against theirs, now.
You probably have no way to prove condition of truck before their work. How can you prove nobody has touched truck since they worked on it.
Just asking questions, you want answers.

Did you make it back and what was the result?
    Good luck.

all the leaking visible is from the pan gasket front side and back side, they cleaned the whole bottom to verify, it drips from the drain plug only because it's the lowest point. the long bolt on the valve cover if for a coolant line attachment bracket that some trucks have there, mine doesn't. those rivet looking things are where the actual firewall attaches to the body, those things are covers for the bolts/screws, nothings missing. the pan gasket leak is a warranty repair they said they'd be happy to do when i have the time. funny thing though, the guy wiped off the drain plug and de-greased it to show that it wasn't leaking, and what do you know, it doesn't drip anymore from the drain plug. hmmmmm. i need some rags like that.

If that hose has been disconnected, you've been sucking raw air into the turbo.

Good reason if you have the room at home and or someplace around the home 20 to do your own services.
Internal work mine goes to Detroit in Omaha. Truck centers in Omaha is so busy it’s a joke.
    Pretty sad though

turbo inlet is the big plastic funnel but what's the small hose that's disconnected? it goes up and around and disappears behind the back of the block
