    thanks otherhalf, seriously, does anyone know anything about this company? I know they run alot of east/west and dedicated on the east coast. They called today, said they would hire me as a trainee to ride with a lead driver for 10wks. After that they would test me for a lead driver. Anyone know something let me know...

    Use to be an East/west out of Villa Rica, Ga as well as So. Dakota. (different companies) The one out of S.Dak was an affiliation of SMX out of Ft.Dodge, Ia.. Not sure if they're still in business since SMX swallowed up by Western Express. If you got an offer, go for it. :biggrin_2551:

    I worked for them back in 1986. Hauled all kinds of freight west and wine back from California...were good people then, I did not know they were still around!!!

    I'm wondering about the east/west outa Selmer Tn. I put in an app. with them yesterday, they said things were slow right now. For them to be a local company thats been around for a while, I havent found anyone to have anything bad to say about them yet. If your in this area I will warn you against St. Michaels motor express. Good Luck Dude
