No problem. I have been aware of the signs for many years. I have had to treat patients that are in fact having one and not let them know. It is a long ride from my town to the hospital. Only one of us really needed to know, if you get my drift.

One of my best friend's husbands was on his way out on his usual run. Had kissed her goodbye less than 30 minutes earlier... went into the dispatch office, walked out to his truck, got his foot on the step... and just dropped. According to paramedics he was most likely dead before he hit the asphalt.

He was 42, and had just had his physical. According to his physical, he was in perfect health.

"Scary yes. Not surprising from reading about how many truck drivers are taking "no doze" type meds to stay awake and on the road longer, and using computers and the like while they are driving. There was something in the news about that recently. Thankfully, it was another big semi he hit and not a family."
Evidently this poster from the newspaper's comment section is ignorant of the driving profession as well as heartless. But from reading the other comments that followed did not agree with it.
