Well, I dunno about that, unless you like a crappy living. The UBI is a good idea in my view to keep folks from drowning, but it's not enough money to truly partake in life. I remain vastly in favor of well paying jobs, so that we can actually enjoy life, not just survive it.

 

Not everyone is in debt up to their eyeballs though.

 

I’m totally in favor of a UBI as long as the govt eliminates EVERY other entitlement and free money handout program .

Probabaly be cheaper to just hand everyone $900 a month and eliminate social security , unemployment , section 8, food stamps, student loan subsidies, etc etc etc

That's the talk right now, a reconsolidation of the multiple of safety net protocols into one comprehensive system, which in this case would be UBI. A single plan diminishes bureaucracy and loopholes where people fall through the cracks due to variant ineligibilities.

One income supplement system to rule them all, simple and efficient.
