It's all in this thread. Bruce wasn't exactly an innocent victim in all this either. It was a mess from top to bottom, and plenty of blame to go around for all the parties involved.

The guy who bought it was selected because he drank the coolaid. After they threw him under the bus, he wised up fast.

    Yes
He and Dave Ramsey are both great salesman

I think you can find pictures of their great grandparents selling elixirs and traveling with the carnival

My favorite KR show story. "I bought my first computer, No no wait! I built my first computer"

So yeah, I am asking sincerely curious now, was there a single thing he ever promoted that actually worked wonders on the truck engine performance level? Including that oil bypass filter, Balancer, Air tabs or those latest fuel additives that reduce soot deposits by Pittsburg Power?
If there had been such miraculous solutions, why would the engine designers have not implemented them already?
Is he or the Pittsburgh Power not preying on the relatively high naivety level of owner operators, thus prone for falling for such inventions?
I am, generally, very skeptical about all these things. Yet, my Cummins ISX averages at 6.5 mpg and at the same someone else's engines might be over 8 mph, in the same business application.
I bought his, now I think overpriced, scangauge, hoping to change my driving habits and even though now I might be easier on the boost while going up the hill or when accelerating but somehow, my mpg did not change by much since I bought it and I am driving more aware of the boost. The benefit is that I am easier on the engine which might help in its longer use. In my opinion, it was too expensive but the idea is still good. I just need to get a independent boost sensor or/and pyrometer next time.

I just love how he will take a class (online or otherwise) and he is a master on the subject. He acts as if he just became better than everyone over night.
Now that he knows more than the doctors I am waiting for him to become the best surgeon in the world.

I used to listen to his show all the time when it was about engine related issues or helping people financially. But now it seems every time I try to listen it is about health and fitness.

Trust me I am not the healthiest person but the stuff he advertises is crazy to me but hey I am just along for the entertainment of the ride.

He is likable for his clear and sound view on life in general and the show is entertaining. He tries to be an authoritative voice on things that require not only much higher, formal, level of education but also career dedicated research and experience. For instance, PhD in chemistry or physics. Reading popular science books or attending seminars or two month courses does not cut it. That's my view. anyway.
One thing for sure, this thread does not help his business and the guy does not deserve to be insulted but I'd rathet him stick to what he's best at, being a radio show host.
