Morehouse/FCC

After the dust all settles with the house purchase this fall I want to get back into shooting and still have land available to me in iowa .
I'll be home on Wednesday of next week and taking 6 days off ...the new to me john deere gets delivered next Thursday from Princeton minn ...ironically from an old friend from my DART days in the late 80s ...a friendship that has endured 30 some years, many twists and turns, 3 divorces for me and 1 pending for him .
I lived in Fargo then and he in Princeton MN and met in Alabama while both with dart in 1988 and we are proof friendship knows no bounds .
He sold his truck in 1990 and has to this day been a teamster driver for a dairy company in Minnesota...and never once has there been the union vs non union rivalry between us ..and he works his butt off .
We will be close friends to the death.

 

I know I'm windy today but did something else I needed to do today .
Got my load picked up this morning and took a leisurely shower ( I shower daily ) ate a salad and rib eye with a baked potato in no hurry .
Ran 170 miles down the road and quit at 4 pm ...looked the truck over good and it's been me time since .

 

Got home today and had a nice chat with curt Morehouse and his father Jerry who told me Morehouse operated out of a house in south 0 until 1970 when they moved to the present location which was a feedlot lol.
Jerry told me his grandfather did not always have a bottle of scotch on his desk .
May 17th is title day !

 

Settlement day is tmw and if the math works I may go in on Monday and pay it off early .
