I'd even agree with most you guys, that it was "one hour" away from home....IF it was a one time thing. But OP has admitted it was a regular occurrence. That to me says poor trip planning or managing his clock. That is dangerous.

DOT will give you some time ( 60days or so) to fix current issues, and prove that you will be in compliance from now on , before putting company out of service.
