Teacher getting a CDL for summer work so I don't drive my wife insane?

Community College and Technical schools are cheaper and have excellent training.

Get an expensive wheel, a nice comfortable driver seat with speakers, crank some seriusxm, and don't forget to lock the door so your wife can't cause any distraction.

Ice distribution hires extra help around my area in the summer

 

Unless you know someone personally within a company it will be impossible to just drive for the Summer months. Companies won’t invest in you for 2 months, they are looking for reliable long term employees. I drove a Taxi on the Las Vegas strip part time during the year and 2-3 days during the Summer. I am still trying to find a local gig and escape teaching all together. I have put in 5 applications so far and hoping one of them bites soon enough. Good Luck

Question to OP out of curiosity. How did online schooling affect teachers’ morale and finances? Is this one of the reasons for extra work search?

My understanding that the teachers are / were still collecting full pay even when the schools were closed .

 

Right but how difficult would it be to replace them all with an actual computer program (which already exists) vs replacing the entire truck driving pool with self driving trucks?

 

Of course, they were. I just hope that they were not able to indoctrinate this "cancel" and "privilege" culture to their online students while getting paid with our taxes. This is not to say that OP is one of these teachers, and parents and the media don't have any responsibilities in this indoctrination of course.
