I’ve always heard stories over the years that women’s bathrooms were disgustingly worse then men’s rooms. This just proves it. Just curious why you never see women using a porta poty like the one at the WM yard, or maybe they do and the leftovers are from them. In any event, your typical human being is actually one notch above pigs in a pen. Any doubts just look at your typical bathroom facility at a trucking company.

I dunno. I kinda like not being responsible for anything other than being at a shipper or receiver on time.

I dunno about anybody else, but all my hometime is on the weekends. I take hometime to see my kids, and they can't rightly come see me during the week when they got school. So weekends it is, and it's been that way since I started driving.
Generally it's fine, but it does mean that if something goes south with my car, I can't get it fixed without either (A) asking for an extra day off; or (B) dropping it off at the mechanic's place and taking an Uber to work (and doing the same thing in reverse when I start my next hometime). Air conditioner for the car wasn't working this weekend when I went to get my kids, and with summer fast approaching I figured I'd take an extra day to get it fixed.
That was yesterday. Rolled in to work today. Called my DM about 10 minutes out to let him know I was almost there and could he please go ahead and find me a load.
Called him back 15 minutes later to tell him to forget finding me a load because my truck is once again destined for the shop.
My truck sat on the lot for four days. It was not giving me any warnings whatsoever when I parked it last Thursday, but today when I started it I started getting Engine Shutdown warnings. Popped the hood and saw that the coolant reservoir was super low. So back in the shop it goes, presumably to the dealer, and I will be getting a loaner tomorrow.

Sounds like it's time for a new truck.
