More tire wear...

    It might be worth send a few pics to the rep for the brand of tire or the shop that sold them
    I would think they would be able to say if it’s tire related or not

    i haven't had much success with re caps. Either I get irregular wear or the cap starts to lift or they split open on the sidewall, among other things. Usually takes out my mudflap or on occasion my tail lights. They have also taken out an air bag with the eruption.
    Overall, I find them more expensive to operate than buying new, cost per mile that is.

    I used to run a certain pattern of tread, and I would always have something similar happen, I switched to a different tread patten all together and it seems to have solved the problem.

    I spoke to everyone about it, tyre guys would blame shocks, wheel alignment guys would blame the tyres, mechanics would blame bearings, all of the seemed to be guessing if you ask me.

    I found running a wider tyre helps a bit, but we run a 3 axle trailer so it's a bit different to a spread axle
