hey everybody!! love the forum, tons of good info. i'm almost 21 got my class-A at 19 and have been interested in the big trucks/heavy equipment my whole life. 2010 i might go back up to red dog mine and run the ore trucks from the main camp/pit to the port (tridrive western star pullin double side dump and around 400k lbs of ore concentrate)
right now i work for a small contractor and they have a few mid 80's international's s1900 box van and dump truck with the dt466 (i'm doin an in-frame on the box van soon and possably buy it this coming year as a lil project vehicle). just finished tuning the dump truck cant wait to haul a load with it now, egts stay well under 900 on the test runs so far(reading post turbo egt) went from 10-12lbs of boost to 30-35:biggrin_2555:. there is a nice STEEPE & LONG hill out near the dump that i would like to take it up to make sure everything still stays nice and cool (that hill is more than that truck will ever see with this company)

this week i will be able to tune the old 82 COE 8(forward)spd freightliner a little bit. hauling materials from a finished job back to the yard so ill finally have some weight. i just put a new thermostat in it last week and continue fixing the lil things that have been neglected on the trucks over the years when i get free time.

i enjoy workin on vehicles almost as much as driving em, its nice to be able to enjoy what u just fixed/added:biggrin_25519:. i also love building (i guess unique/custom would be the best words haha) vehicles, cant really fit anything else onto my little vw, cant wait to start my project truck.

anyway that's a little bit about me, i look forward to getting to know u guys. i usually hop on and browse a few different forums every few days, espically when planning out a project.

im around eagle river/ anchorage area, january it can be anywhere from -25F (last year) to 45F (warm front) as long as u aren't going to be out in the weather more than 15-20ish minutes a decent coat and jeans is completely doable, really dry cold, carry a little thing of loation with u, my knuckles and cuticles get pretty dry in the winter up here, and really annoying when the skin cracks.

is there a pine bluff up here? or u talkin arkansas (googled it)

    Baack Thanks this.
