How many of you have had to call the police to help get out of a jam? Say you you have started a turn and realized you can't make it without hitting something, yet can't back up due to traffic, or some other issue? How often do you have to call for help form police on average? If police assist you, are you ticketed for obstruction of roadway or some other reason?

Yes. Twice.
Once for a low bridge.
Once to back out of a driveway that was Once the entrance (with guard shack and everything) to a factory. And she was the most smokin hot cop I ever met.bzinger, homeskillet, InTooDeep and 13 others Thank this. -
I have, some small town in Kentucky, and it was a mess. There was a problem with how to handle the jurisdiction of the two county sheriffs departments because I was half over the county line.
finally one of them had the bright idea to take their own end of the truck and help out, one in front and one in rear.Speed_Drums, Lonesome, truckdriver31 and 4 others Thank this. -

That’s when you learn to back in or walk in first.Gearjammin' Penguin, tscottme, rachi and 8 others Thank this. -
Once, in St. Paul to make a U-turn when a bridge over I-94 was closed. I could have done it myself no problem but I'm pretty sure the company had an automatic termination policy for U-turns if they find out somehow.
The second was a small town in Missouri that I missed the turn for the highway and had to get turned around again.
I don't think the police mind helping you out. You might have to wait a little while for them to show up if they have more important things to do.justcarhaulin, reeferwrencher, slow.rider and 4 others Thank this. -
Once, in Grand Rapids, MI. Missed my turn by one city block and turned instead onto a residential side street. Pulled over, called Police and apologized. No biggie.
Flat Earth Trucker, Midwest Trucker, slow.rider and 2 others Thank this.
