The dumb story you just posted about the guy complaining about not being able to pass his permit test is pathetic CJ.
How unprepared and unprofessional does someone have to be in order to not at least study for the permit test before they get to orientation!!!??? Anybody who is not prepared to do what it takes to become a truck driver when they arrive at orientation deserves to be sent home.
I don't arrive at orientation until Dec 29th, but I already went and got my permit the other day... so I don't have to worry about it.
Get serious.

I don't understand why posting this video supposedly was a put down to Prime. "Yeah that Prime is such a bad company... I went there once and there was a fat chick walking her dog in the parking lot!" "That proves that, without a doubt, Prime is a bad trucking company!"
That makes no sense.
knighton5 Thanks this. -
That video wasnt negative= in my opinion. Dont talk to these characters on this board, talk to the drivers who actualy drive for Prime.
DirtySideDown Thanks this. -
I have to admit when i leased with Prime i defended them tooth and nail, as a team we started off well, even when we had the bull gear break they took care of us, then something changed, i cannot figure it out, we never #####ed, we ran the loads and had positive settlements, but then the bottom dropped out, when we reached 5 weeks in the hole we decided to cut our losses, we even went to the ops manager - our fleet manager tried to say it was fuel costs but the ops mgr said it was not, now we are in a much better situation Netting $2K a week - that never Happened with Prime
notarps4me and jtrnr1951 Thank this. -
Some of us have driven for prime...
jtrnr1951 Thanks this. -
Was the video supposed to be an negative about prime......
Was the comment about the dog walking its fat chick totally in bad taste ......
The answers are simple.......
Perception is reality ! -
I have always said as a solo you really want $1000+ average net per week for OTR. -That's what you should be shooting for. With Prime that is hard because you must run one of their ULSD Fleece trucks.
Don't complain when you are only making negative or low hundreds a week with New Prime, JB-Fleece, CR-Fleece etc.
$2000 a week for team isn't bad, but in reality only fair money (teams should make more and do run more). Much better than the fleece though and I'm sure you feel you are on the right path now.
These fleecers really screw up people and indoctrinate them into believing that they are the problem and they they are doing something wrong. =It's not you, -it is the Fleece. -
I wouldn't start a lease with any company right now. Have you watched the news lately? We're in a deep recession.
$1000/week would be nice... but, where I live, I don't need to make near that much to be successful and pay my bills. -
Haul some of that fish down here to the Texas area and show these chinese what they should be buying. You would make lots of money. They buy and sell nasty junk here at these little fish shops. -
$1000 a week / 70hrs =$142.5 average over 7 days.
$14.25 an hr - for driving a truck loaded thru cities =that really isn't that much.
No joke: Some of you fleecers are making $3-5 a hour. =You would do better working at McDonald's + you get overtime pay.
