Got a call from these guys asking me if I wanted to drive for them. Not sure how they got my number. They seem pretty sketch. Just wondering if anyone has ever deal with them before and what kind of experiences they had

KOT is a Chicago outfit. You’re dispatched from another country. It’s a lease purchase outfit that — at the time of your post — pays an average of $2.00 a mile. Of course, now, with fuel and rates the way they are, it would be difficult to break even with $2.00 a mile.

This outfit doesn’t have any customers or dedicated lanes. They primarily work the spot market. You will never see the actual rate-con either.

It’s non-forced dispatch, so they don’t force you to take load options. If you refuse they will find and give you more options. They run all 48.

I have a friend who ran with them for two years. I’ve seen his settlements. After all his expenses he was taking home $2600 at his lowest week and $4300 at his highest. This is running around 3000-3800 miles a week. So, you will be running hard to make that amount.

he was leasing s 2020 Volvo VLN860, brand new when he took possession. The only reason he left was because of a stroke. They never messed with or withheld his pay without reason. He actually said the were very nice and worked with him a lot.
