Been nursing a sore back for the last week and it's still not up to snuff. Not looking forward to the next 4 days on the road. I'll probably have to make more frequent stops to stretch it out. Walking seems to irritate it more. Some how the pain is attached to my left leg moving. Hope it's not time for a hip replacement. Aging sucks.

Man, that story about truck drivers being offered $14,000 a week is making the rounds. I have people I know that aren't into trucking at all texting and emailing me links to the news release. Gotta hand it to the company owner who pushed this into the media stream, he must be some kind of marketing genius.

I had to change mine, because I felt my backbone too, once I did all discomfort was gone. Volvo seats are pretty comfy imo.
Myself being too tall to drive a semi for lifetime career, I am surprised that I have not developed any backbone issues after 20 years of doing this yet. (knock on the wood).Truckermania and SteveScott Thank this. -
Therefore, people need to post when they take 1.10 c per mile loads too - when they do, so that picture is full, if you catch my drift.
I'd say it is time to stop posting about how rich we've become during the pandemic.Truckermania and Scooter Jones Thank this. -

Pretty soon it will be cheaper to build a concrete fence around your yard like those sound walls along highways.

Maybe, at the very least now, those lumber mills out of Oregon and Washington state could afford to pay $2 dol per mile going south instead of $1.

BTW
There is a very good movie about a family's lumberjack business in Oregon with Paul Newman and Henry Fonda "Sometimes, a great notion".
Here is the trailer
