.. there's nothing on the West-Coast but flip-flops and disaster, I assure you, stay where you are. People don't come here for trucking, they come to hang out at the beach, do drugs, high class quality prostitutes, etc.. sushi is also decent, good clean air, nice mountain view, birds and wildlife, lakes and rivers, horrible drivers
For those of you wanting to become a truck driver ...

As long as you stay north of Chilliwack BC isn't too bad.
-
definatelly AModelCat, Interior BC is completely different and some really fine people as well

I never understood the obsession with living in Vancouver (and area). Couldn't pay me enough to live within 150 km of Vancouver.
Canadianhauler21, BigHossVolvo and skipgears Thank this. -
You know what it is, it's a bog, you get into it and it seems impossible to get out. Quicksand, yer in it and it keeps on swallowing you in. You don't even realize that through all the years it's been sinking you deeper into its pit. A self-confined prison of luster material luxury. An illusion of misplaced grandeur, and time.Canadianhauler21, AModelCat and BigHossVolvo Thank this.

New driver here but I'll give a little advice. If there is an accident or any other issue on 401 that is severely backing traffic up immediately turn on CB. Blame immigrants and current government. Rinse and repeat. It gets old quickly.
Canadianhauler21 Thanks this. -
I always found it funny that people always blame immigrants, but not the people who allowed them to get their licenses with no training. It's easier to sit back and complain rather than do something about it. Sums up about 99% of truckers these days including myself.JayTee, MSQUARED, Prairie Trucker and 3 others Thank this.

who is taking jobs like that after paying 7-10k+ for the trucking course? I wouldn't even mow lawns for $15 an hour.
