One of the Allied Terminals I was at gave out silver dollars back in the day. They also had loaders in Louisville. I heard those guys would throw a load on quick, but not necessarily completely chained. A driver could forgo the load pay and let the loaders load and park the truck. Probably not a bad deal if you didn’t feel like loading when you got back in.

Unless you run out of Rolla for URS. Then 15'+ or even 16' isn't unusual. I've seen 6 Tahoes/Suburbans on a high mount more than once, and pickup wheel arches above the top rail. Do I know it can get there unscathed at that height? Sure. Still never leave the yard that tall. -
I figure y'all could appreciate this pic. Couldn't find the back half, but it is mostly likely an extended cab under a crew cab. These loads were consistently just under 14'.

Thought I'd drop in and wave a hand to the group.
Still out here grinding away, for now anyway.
Tropsnart, Hammer166, Banker and 1 other person Thank this. -
