This post was responded to in like fashion on another board, so I wanted to chime in here. I clicked on the link that was provided....what's the problem? Tailwinds has a flawless DOT record.....better watch out!?Seriously sorry if something looked "fishy", we don't haul fish, just produce!
As for my posting style being informal, my apologies. We are seeking a qualified driver, as one of our drivers has decided to hang it up. I didn't feel that an internet posting was the place for full disclosure of ALL company structure, etc for all the net-world to see. As you can see, people will not hesitate to post names, etc, that can be dangerous in this crazy world. If someone is interested, call, if not, lighten up francis'! Please do "look before you leap" ! I appreciate guys looking out for eachother, but for crying out loud.....tough crowd!

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

The reason why it is a "tough" crowd is because of the statement you made & that I'm quoting below.
The forum you posted this advertisement too was created just for that... If your looking for a driver, or two, or three... Then post away!
By posting the statement you did made it appear that you were a uninterested third party. When in fact you are not a uninterested third party. To me it it seems like a honesty issue. If you can't be honest in your help wanted ad, then what else will you not be honest with?
Anyhow, I'm not interested. I'm got my own equipment doing my own thing. Just wanted to point out the obvious!
_ton bundle Thanks this. -
Truckers/Detectives good work guys. I agree with Redd it makes everything else suspect when you are not honest up front not unlike most recruiters.

First, I didn't post your name. You posted your name, I just linked to it. I was careful to only include the first letter of your last name and I blacked out the rest. You are the one who needs to be careful about how much personal info you allow to be posted online. I actually called my children over to show them how easy it is to post waaaay too much info about yourself on the internet. If you weren't so evasive in your posts, I wouldn't be digging. Also, I don't ask for full disclosure in a job posting, just honest disclosure.
Tailwinds does not have a 'flawless' DOT record. You have NO DOT record. Not one driver or vehicle inspection... nothing. You are not even listed as a carrier, only a registrant. No MC authority, no link to insurance. So yes, that is fishy. Maybe there are good answers for this. I'd love to hear them. The ball is in your court.
I'm based out of MPLS and I've never heard of you or seen your trucks. That doesn't necessarily mean anything in itself, but it is what caught my eye about your posts. Even if you are legit, this shows new drivers and new owner operators how to research companies before they get in bed with them. -

Also, I'd still like to see a link to this 'website' that you got the info off of. I still haven't been able to find it. -
Good eye there ton. Nice catch!

Trying to remember if it was swift or JB, but one of them a long time ago had a ploy to make an AD sound like a trucking job for walmart. It was a dedicated, but not a walmart job. Anytime anybody tries to slip something by a driver it just tells me how much of a lowlife outfit the co or recruiter is. I don't need a job for an outfit like that.

Sorry for all of the double posts. I asked the Mods to merge the two threads together so we wouldn't have to chase down answers on two threads. 1 topic, 1 thread makes it easier for everybody.

The DOT number is registered to a Houston, TX address.
A google search for area code 407 shows that the number is out of the Orlando, FL metro area!
And he's hiring out of the Minnesopolis/St. Paul area!!
Something seems fishy to me! -
....wait a minute....do you mean to tell me that this guy lives in Texas, has kept his original business number for the past 10 years (FL) for convenience sakes, and has a truck deployed in MN where it can make the most money on the most lucrative contract, in a tough economy?! THAT IS JUST C.R.A.Z.Y. great work detectives you have just saved someone from having a good job.
Genius.
