Very interesting situation I find myself in. A family member and I applied to a small teams company that requires 2+ years OTR experience for one of the drivers. This was a lucky strike for me since I'm still a recent graduate. However, the company will hire me but not the family member because of items on his DAC that his last company added (including no to rehire).

So, I'm ready to get on the road with a decent company. I've BEEN ready. Would I be crazy to seek out another female driver to team with? I considered posting an ad under CraigsList, but here wouldn't be a bad place to start a search.

Also, this company pays its teams "28% gross revenue". What a recruiter told me as an example is that as the rookie, I'd get maybe 11%, and the other driver with experience gets 17%. Then, as I get more experience, I'd move up to 12 and 13%..., and my co-driver would drop to 16 and 15%. That sounds "interesting" to me, but maybe I'm just too new to the concept.

    Thanks, y'all!

Well i thinkthis would be the problem. Once you go up your co-driver's pay goes down. I know it would't work for me if i was the co-driver. I understand that the co-driver being more experienced should make more persay but with teams it really doesn't work that way. The company usually pays more per mile for a team and then that is just split 50/50. That's my take, but best of luck to you. What company is it by the way?

Thanks for the reply. Benny Whitehead in AL. I've read about them on the board before, and there wasn't much about them. The little I read seemed positive.
