I think it dont matter. If it's offered they don't allow it. I'd call HR and ask. Definitely worth a shot.
I had interview @ Dayton straight for linehaul topped out. Declined the position. Wife got a $5 bump for weekend shift so I matched her days off and got a 150 week bump for weekends. Besides Dayton too hard work for me personally. If I can't get 3.5 hour nap a night in I can't mess with it.

What is going on with wait times at this place? 1.5-2 hours waiting to be dispatched

Are you extra board or line haul? This is a regular event on the east coast. Why do you think we complain about West Middlesex lolSpeed_Drums, MACK E-6, LPjunior1970 and 2 others Thank this.

I’m on a bid schedule out of the northeast. 055, 024, 093, 010, 017, 087, 178 and many more all have this issue. I talk to many scheduled and extraboard drivers on a daily basis and the consensus is the same. You will rot waiting in that drivers room.

I never wait on my way out from my home terminal with a 2am cut time but I might wait a bit at 055.. normally not more than 45-60 mins. Checks always in the bank on Friday so I’m not complaining.jtaran06 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

That’s awesome. Like I always tell guys when they ask how’s Estes to work for, depends on the terminal you’re out of and the terminals you frequent, amongst other things. Money is not the issue here, the lost time without pay adds up, just do the math.
-
I hear you on the math but I worked a hell of a lot harder for a beverage company for many years for way less money. My uniform would be soaked with sweat by 7am! I have yet to break a sweat working for Estes as a LH driver but you’re mileage may vary. I don’t see anything changing here anytime soon so if the waiting around is driving you crazy you probably outta look elsewhere for work.jtaran06 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

That’s really all you can do and I’m aware of that. How long you been with Estes?

You on a lay down?
